Married at First Sight star Zack Freeman believes Jose San Miguel's behavior in his fight with Rachel Gordillo was wrong and Rachel should be praised for how she handled the situation, probably much differently from how Michaela Clark allegedly would have reacted.

During Wednesday's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Jose watched back a Season 13 clip of the aftermath of his potentially relationship-ending fight with Rachel.

"You locked me out," Rachel tells her husband in the clip, the day after he had lashed out at her for calling him the wrong name.

"You disappear and I don't know what you're doing," Jose replies, a bit smugly.

"We were here with Brittaney [a producer] and I walked her out," Rachel counters. "I didn't take anything with me, I come back, and [the door] is deadbolted."

Jose responded by saying he locks the door and secures the apartment every night before he goes to sleep.

"Without your wife home?" Rachel asks.

"I don't know where you were at or what you were doing!" Jose argues. "You just took off!"

"Ask," Rachel says. "Then ask! I don't feel like you are remorseful at all. I don't feel that you're apologetic at all. And, yeah, I cannot be your wife."

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still married to her match, Doug Hehner -- asked Jose if he intentionally meant to lock his wife out of their apartment.

"That was not the case at all," Jose claimed.

"After this conversation, she left [for] an extended period of time. It's getting later into the one, two, three or four o'clock in the morning -- whatever time it was."

Married at First Sight footage showed Rachel returning to her apartment at around 1AM. Once she couldn't get inside, she apparently had to call her friends and co-stars in the hope someone would welcome her in and let her crash overnight.

Jose added on Unfiltered, "That night, I don't know where she slept."

But Zack chose to speak his mind after Jamie asked him whether he'd ever lock his own wife, Michaela, out of their apartment without at least texting or calling her first to check on her plans for the rest of the night.

"I love Jose, don't get me wrong, but it's clear that you did lock her out," Zack said assertively.

"Oh Zack," Jamie said with pride while making a hand gesture to show her approval and support of his statement.

"Because, like, look," Zack continued, "you know she has left her stuff [behind]. She's still there."

Zack elaborated, "If you and people in general were to address the issue straight ahead and say, 'Hey, yeah, I f-cked up. I will never do this again. I'm sorry, it will never happen again,' I feel like that would give her more comfort."

Zack also gave Rachel props for how she had handled the situation in calmly speaking to Jose the day after their explosive argument.

"I kind of applaud Rachel just because of how she went about it, because in my situation with Michaela, unfortunately, it would have never been that civil," shared Zack, who has accused Michaela of overreacting and having a dramatic personality and temper.

"But I feel like had you just admitted it, [Jose], I think it would've been a lot better," Zack noted.

Jamie, who complimented Zack's wording, said Jose had been triggered when Rachel called him by the wrong name. As shown on Married at First Sight's latest episode, Ryan spilled the beans that Rachel had called her husband "Johnny," referring to MAFS star Johnny Lam.

Jose's friends even laughed at Jose's anger and mistrust in Rachel because the MAFS cast constantly spent time together and they were always talking about one another.

When fighting about Rachel's mistake, Jose told Rachel that her apology wasn't enough, and he yelled at her, "F-ck you! Get the f-ck out!... Pack your bags, bounce! Alright, f-cking go."

Jose apparently threatened to throw something at Rachel, who said in reply that she clearly never had a good understand of the person she married.

Rachel said she'd never allow a man -- or anyone, for that matter -- talk to her that way.

"It's one of these things where my emotions got the best of me there, and yeah," Jose confessed on Unfiltered, adding that his outburst doesn't indicate how he normally acts when he's upset.

"I'm not a hot-heated individual," Jose insisted. "I still am super remorseful and just super apologetic for the manner that it happened in."

Jamie commended Zack and Jose's other "bros" for holding him accountable, and she also pointed out how Jose seemed to have grown a little bit from the experience.

"You just owned up to it!" Jamie noted.

"Yeah, so the accountability, it has to be there," Jose replied.

"For me, I hate to say this, but I didn't apologize as quick as I should, I don't communicate as well as I should too, and so, yeah, it's just tremendous growth after watching that back."

Jose also acknowledged he never thought Rachel and Johnny were into each other romantically.

Jose's actions resulted in Rachel threatening divorce and falling out of love with Jose.

Rachel confided in several of the Married at First Sight ladies -- Myrla Feria, Brett and Bao -- how it seemed like Jose didn't care about her at all.

Rachel said she and Jose were "technically but not emotionally" married anymore, and she accused Jose of being "vindictive" and "unresponsive," adding that he had allegedly deflected blame onto her and exhibited passive aggressive body language.

After Ryan and Zack mentioned how Rachel saying "Johnny" was probably an honest mistake, Jose said he still loved Rachel and missed her a lot.

However, Rachel was on a totally different page by that point.

"I do not love him anymore... Now I'm in totally unmarked territory," Rachel confessed. "Could I regain trust? Can I love again, the same person? I have no idea."

Married at First Sight's thirteenth season currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
