The 30-year-old former LA Ink star, formally known as Katherine Von Drachenberg, became engaged when boyfriend Joel Thomas Zimmerman, an electronic music star known as Deadmau5, popped the question via Twitter on Saturday.

"I can't wait for Christmas so.... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" Zimmerman tweeted along with a photo of the reality TV star's engagement ring and a disclaimer.

"Changing the diamond to a black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg... theyll finish the actual ring soon i hope. i love you :D."

Von Drachenberg subsequently took to Twitter, gushing to her fans about the proposal.

"Mi corazon!!! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiance!" she tweeted.

The tattoo artist and Zimmerman had briefly split in early November. Von Drachenberg had announced their breakup first with a series of tweets.

"Man ... Can't say I didn't give it my best," she wrote. "Man, I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off. #lessonlearned."

"Now, we can get all of the 'I told you so's' outta the way ... And move on," added Von Drachenberg afterwards. "Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together."

"Going to spend a little while screwing my head back on. i guess im not cut out for relationships right now. and that's all i really want to dwell on it right now. ill figure it out. no hard feelings," Zimmerman tweeted at the time.

"It happened too fast, i lost my balance and fell into a familiar dark place that im having difficulty with. she deserves someone stronger."

Von Drachenberg and ex-fiance Jesse James, the former Jesse James is a Dead Man and Monster Garage star, had announced they had ended their engagement and split in September 2011. The pair had been off and on for awhile leading up to their final breakup.

TLC had announced the cancellation of LA Ink in August 2011, stating the network had "decided" to end the show with the broadcast of its fourth-season finale in September of that year. However, Von D challenged TLC's statement and insisted it was her choice to end the series.
