Jesse James is ready to let the public in on the inside scoop of his life.

The former Monster Garage and Jesse James is a Dead Man star has inked a deal to write a memoir, The Associated Press reported Friday.

Entitled American Outlaw, the book will be published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, although a publication date has not been set.

James, who was married to Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock for five years, got engaged to LA Ink star Kat Von D last month.  While they initially denied they were an item and said they were just longtime friends, Von D, 28, and James, 41, began dating last summer after James' divorce from Bullock was finalized.

James and Bullock finalized their divorce in June -- only three months after James was first accused of having an 11-month affair with tattoo model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee while Bullock was in Atlanta filming The Blind Side, for which she won the Oscar for Best Actress.

Several additional women then also made similar claims and James admitted to the infidelity, resulting in Bullock filing for divorce last April.
