The ex-wife of reality television star Jesse James was arrested outside Austin, Texas, on a warrant for harassing him via telephone messages, officials said.

Janine Lindemulder was booked into the Hays County Jail Saturday after her ex-husband, who was also married to Sandra Bullock, gave police threatening messages he said she left on his telephone, the celebrity news Web site reported.

James said Lindemulder has called him 300 times since he moved to Texas, and left "chronic harassing telephone calls to all hours of the day and night."

James said the calls were "so harassing, abusive and bad" that he turned some of them over to the Austin Police Department.

Lindemulder, 42, and James have a child together, The Austin American-Statesman reported. Lindemulder is also known as Janine Marie James. She is a former Penthouse magazine Pet and appeared in adult films.

The San Antonio Express-News said the two were married in 2002 and divorced a year later. James then married and divorced actress Sandra Bullock. Bullock lives in Austin.

Janine appeared before a judge Sunday morning and was charged with three counts of misdemeanor harassment. Bail was set at $6,000.
