Hannah Brown has defended her friend Heather Martin after Heather essentially walked into the lion's den on Monday night's The Bachelor episode when she chose to show up halfway through Matt's season.

Heather suddenly showed up at a cocktail party in a stunning white dress to talk to Matt and attempt to join his cast of Season 25 bachelorettes, who all flipped out and became furious over the idea of this newcomer potentially receiving one of their roses.

"Lord bless the girls that are mean to my Heather," Hannah said in an Instagram Stories video after watching The Bachelor episode.

"That's all I have to say," Hannah added with a big smile. "That's all I'm gonna say!"

Hannah, 26, and Heather, 25, became friends when they competed for Colton Underwood's heart on The Bachelor's 23rd season in 2019.

The Season 15 The Bachelorette star also posted a selfie with Heather on Instagram Stories and wrote on the image, "Love ya @heatherm22."

When Heather arrived at The Bachelor resort in Pennsylvania, she explained to host Chris Harrison that Hannah had put her up to appearing on Matt's season.

Hannah got to know Matt very well in early 2020 when the pair quarantined with each other for weeks along with their mutual friend and The Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron in Florida.

"Hannah just spent some time with Matt in quarantine, and the first thing she said to me when she landed [back home in Alabama] was, 'This guy is the perfect match for you,'" Heather recalled.

"Hannah is one of my very best girlfriends and she knows Matt and loves Matt. Her telling me that, that meant something. I couldn't let him get engaged and not meet him or try my best... I know you guys are almost halfway through, but I don't think that's going to stop me."

Once she quarantined for several days and tested negative for coronavirus, Heather was allowed to face Matt and share how she was feeling.

Heather told the cameras that she could really see Matt as her husband and she already felt butterflies for him. Heather said her dream was to fall in love with Matt and get engaged.

"Heather?!" Matt exclaimed when Heather approached him during a conversation with bachelorette Pieper James. "Pieper, I'm so sorry. I just need a couple minutes."

Pieper then returned to the cocktail party and the bachelorettes lamented about another girl possibly being welcomed into the picture when many of them were already falling in love with Matt.

"If you're going to let a new girl come in or you're going to give a new girl a rose over some of us who have been here this long, then you better marry that girl -- because the rest of us are going to be pissed," Chelsea Vaughn said in a confessional.

"If she gets a rose tonight," Serena Pitt said of Heather, "I am going to be rageful!"

Hannah wasn't the only person who rushed to Heather's defense on social media after the episode aired.

Demi Burnett, who also competed on The Bachelor's 23rd season, tweeted, "F—k anyone that is mean to Heather. She is a precious angel. I've never met a happier and more loving person than her #TheBachelor."

Season 21 The Bachelor star Nick Viall wrote, "Either Heather just wanted to be on TV or Hannah Brown's a terrible friend for not giving her Matt's number."

And two-time The Bachelor contestant Becca Tilley tweeted, "When I was called about coming back to be on [Ben Higgins]' season, I said I would only come if I could start from the beginning with everyone else... and this Heather situation is the exact reason."

Matt recently told Us Weekly that he met Heather prior to filming The Bachelor but "had no relationship with her."

"I was just as shocked to see her as everyone else was when she arrives and I think it makes for a very interesting conversation," Matt shared with the magazine.

A preview for the next The Bachelor episode shows Heather being attacked by the other women and breaking down into tears.
