The former Dancing with the Stars co-host and contestant crashed her vehicle in Calabasas, CA, on Wednesday.

"Rough morning," Burke-Charvet tweeted today. "Accident on my way 2 work. Tons of cops & of course photogs, TMZ will have fun with this one. Poor Mazeratti -- yes I was sober."

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department told E! News the reality TV star was going northbound when she began having steering issues, which ultimately caused her to drive her car through a chain-link fence on Las Virgenes Road.

"Something happened with steering and she had to make the choice of going into oncoming traffic or go towards the fence off the road. She chose the latter," a source told E! News.

Burke-Charvet was reportedly not injured and no other cars were involved in the accident.

"She is fine," her representative told the website, adding that Burke-Charvet headed straight to film her guest appearance on ABC's Melissa & Joey sitcom immediately after the incident.

Burke-Charvet will be starring in two upcoming episodes of Melissa & Joey, according to E! News, for which she'll act as the ex-girlfriend of Joey Lawrence's character Joe and cause some drama for Melissa Joan Hart's character Mel.

Burke-Charvet was fired from Dancing with the Stars' currently-airing eighteenth season after working on the show for seven seasons. She was replaced by new co-host Erin Andrews, who assists host Tom Bergeron.
