Matt Grant apparently has some strong feelings about Jason Mesnick's decision to choose Melissa Rycroft over Molly Malaney during The Bachelor's thirteenth-season finale -- only to later decide to dump Rycroft on-air for a second chance with Malaney.

"This guy kind of committed suicide," The Bachelor: London Calling star told People at The 23rd Genesis Awards in Beverly Hills on Saturday.  "He's a nice man. I've met him quite a few times. But I think he should have gone about it differently."

However while Grant was harsh in judging Mesnick's decision to propose marriage to Rycroft during last November's Final Rose Ceremony taping only to later dump her on-air in favor of Malaney during January's taping of the season's After the Final Rose special, he also gave him props for recognizing the mistake before it got any worse.

"Ultimately, he had the [guts] to say, 'I screwed up,'" Grant told People.

As Mesnick and Malaney continue their romantic relationship, Grant told People he is still dating publicist Sarah Robarts -- who he first met when he hired her as his publicist after his The Bachelor: London Calling participation had ended with his engagement to Shayne Lamas

Grant and Roberts reportedly began dating "months" after Grant and Lamas "officially" ended their relationship last July.

"I had an easy ride," Grant told People about his The Bachelor journey.  "I had a great group of women; we all just got on fairly well."
