Dancing with the Stars apparently wasn't the only one interested in Melissa Rycroft after she was dumped by Jason Mesnick.

Playboy editor Hugh Hefner has offered the jilted bachelorette $500,000 to appear nude in the men's publication, Star magazine reported Monday.

"Hef really wants Melissa to do a pictorial because she's the ultimate girl next door," a source told Star. "He thinks she has it all: beauty, brains and spunk. And it doesn't hurt that she has a terrific figure."

Hefner has already sent Rycroft -- who is currently competing on Dancing with the Stars eighth season -- a personal letter asking her to pose naked for Playboy, according to Star, which added he has also invited her to his mansion to discuss a possible deal.

However Rycroft's hands are apparently tied as long as her feet are still moving on Dancing with the Stars.

"It states in her contract with ABC that she cannot pose nude while she's on Dancing," the source told Star. "And she won't even be able to until three months after her season ends!"

Rycroft was chosen by Mesnick over Molly Malaney during The Bachelor's thirteenth-season finale, however he decided to dump her on-air during the After the Final Rose special to instead have a second chance with Malaney.

Rycroft subsequently joined Dancing with the Stars' eighth-season cast as a last-minute replacement for injured Access Hollywood co-anchor Nancy O'Dell.

Somewhat ironically, The Girls Next Door star and former Hefner girlfriend Holly Madison also joined Dancing with the Stars eighth-season cast as a replacement for singer Jewel Kilcher.
