Big Brother's twelfth-season houseguests evicted Ragan Fox during Thursday night's live broadcast of the CBS reality competition.

Ragan, a 34-year-old college professor from Los Angeles, CA, was evicted from the Big Brother house via a 2-0 vote on Day 62 after he was placed on the chopping block by Lane Elenburg, the season's ninth Head of Household.

Lane, a 24-year-old oil rig salesman from Decatur, TX, had originally nominated Ragan for eviction alongside Enzo Palumbo

The nominations had been a surprise to Enzo and Hayden Moss, who had been in a season-long secret "Brigade" alliance with Lane.  However Lane also had also established a two-person "side alliance" with Britney Haynes -- the only other houseguest still in the competition -- and decided that he preferred to have Enzo serve as his "pawn" nominee alongside Ragan.

Enzo then won the subsequent Power of Veto competition and removed himself from the chopping block, resulting in Lane further frustrating his "Brigade" allies by nominating Hayden in his place.

Ragan -- who had finally begun to strongly suspect the "Brigade" alliance's existence in recent weeks -- had then attempted to convince Britney and Lane to make a "power move" and vote Hayden out of the game by forcing a 1-1 tie in which Lane would get to, as the reigning HoH, break the tie but was unsuccessful.

After Ragan's eviction, the remaining houseguests -- minus Lane, who as the outgoing HoH, was ineligible to compete -- competed in the season's tenth HoH competition.

Dubbed "Big Brother Christmas," the competition required the houseguests to "decorate a Christmas tree" by reaching their fingers through a wall of chicken wire and slowly maneuver ornaments into a series of ornament holders.

While the results of the challenge are already known to the show's 24/7 live Internet feed viewers, CBS will reveal the winner during Sunday night's Big Brother broadcast. (If you don't want to wait until then to find out what happened, highlight the area below.)

Hayden won the challenge and became the next HoH.

Big Brother's next episode will Sunday, September 5 at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.
