Bachelor in Paradise's Vinny Ventiera is opening up about what life in Paradise was actually like post-scandal.

"There was definitely an elephant in the room. We were happy to be back, as we didn't think we would be. We wanted to have a good time," Vinny told Us Weekly. "It's fun. You make friends and forget about the outside world."

ABC announced last month Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise will debut on Monday, August 14 at 8PM ET/PT.

The show was initially scheduled to premiere on August 8, but filming was suspended in June after a producer filed a complaint alleging misconduct in regards to a public hookup between franchise villains Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson.

Since both cast members had been drinking heavily that day, consent to the sexual encounter was in question, especially when Corinne released a statement calling herself "a victim" as news of the incident circulated.

DeMario, however, insisted at the time his character was being "assassinated with false claims and malicious allegations," referring to comments he had taken advantage of Corinne in Paradise.

Warner Bros. therefore launched an investigation when production halted for a couple of weeks and found no evidence of misconduct or sexual assault. As a result, ABC resumed taping the fourth season, with Warner Bros. revealing certain changes would be implemented to ensure the cast's safety and well-being.

"There was a drink limit. Only two drinks per hour," Vinny revealed to Us. "If you did want to spend the night with a significant other. You did have to give on camera consent. Both parties had to agree."

Vinny first competed for JoJo Fletcher's heart on The Bachelorette's twelfth season in 2016. He took advantage of a second opportunity to find love on reality TV by appearing on Bachelor in Paradise's third edition last summer.

Vinny quickly got wrapped up in a serious relationship with Izzy Goodkind, but she unexpectedly dumped the deejay and barber for another guy she was attracted to, which crushed and devastated Vinny at the time. Izzy came to regret her decision, but it appeared Vinny wasn't interested in giving her another chance.

"Last season of Paradise, I was in a relationship but that ended about half way through the season," recalled Vinny, who will be one of the original cast members on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise this summer. "This season is good. August 4 the world will know my relationship status."

Vinny apparently had a great time in Mexico, but he confessed to Us the experience isn't as romantic as it's cracked up to be.

"It's definitely hot. It's not as glamorous as it seems," Vinny noted. "There's no air-conditioning. There's a lot of crabs. Animal crabs, not the type of other crabs."
