American Idol finalist Angela "Angie" Miller distanced herself from her fellow Top 4 competitors during Wednesday night's performance show on Fox.

Angie first blew Idol's judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, and Randy Jackson away with her rendition of "Who You Are" by Jessie J.

"The caliber of that performance was beyond. That was a professional moment... Stunning. I felt it was amazing," Mariah told the contestant, suggesting she should sing another original song at the piano soon.

"That was a mini-short representation of why I have so much confidence in you as an artist, and that is -- when that song started, you have such a prim and proper way of being where everything's enunciated and it's very proper... It's nice and good, but as the song went on, you got looser and looser and consonants and stuff went away. You got more carefree and cooler... It's okay not to be okay. Keep that in mind Angie!" Keith explained.

"Every time I see you at the piano, I remember scolding you like a mom saying like, 'Stop it! Get on your piano, girl!' And this is exactly why, because there's no one that compares to you that's in this competition when you are behind the piano -- no one... We feel it; We feel every word... You didn't strain not one time... And you were able to mix [rock] in, in the middle of the performance, and I was like, 'Look at her being all smart and cute!'... That was exceptional," Nicki said.

"You made me forget that was a Jessie J. song. You made me believe that was an Angie performance. It was a 10 out of 10 out of 10 for me. It was sheer perfection... This to me, so far, is my best performance of the night! And guess what else?! She is in it to win it!" Randy told her. "That's how you win!"

Later on in the night, she took the stage again and performed "Cry Me a River" by Julie London.

"That was an elegant number. I feel like you've been holding out on us a little bit with the note selection, because you hit some upper-register moments of clarity -- just beautiful," Mariah said.

"They said I had to use three words -- 'mystical' and 'celestially powerful,'" Keith noted.

"You came out tonight to snatch some wigs off some heads, honey child. You snatchin' wigs, little lady! Because I don't know. It's like you went home and thought two weeks ago, 'Hold on, do they not realize who I am?! I'm Angie Miller!' Tonight was your night. Tonight was your night!" Nicki explained.

"The best of the night. Angie wins the night hands down!" Randy expressed. "She's in it to win it!"

Fellow Idol finalist Amber Holcomb received the second highest praise of the night.

Amber received a standing ovation for opening the show with "The Power of Love" by Celine Dion.

"I'm just marveling at the fact that we saw this little girl come in. She was a little shy, knew that she had something, knew that she wanted it -- I think that the contestant this year with the most growth throughout the whole contest is right there, Amber! You came in as a baby and you are now a pro. That was so on-point. Dude, I mean, you didn't miss a beat! The notes were crystal clear. You were ringing. You had no fear. I mean, my God, you are ready. You are ready! Wow, wow!" Randy told her.

She also earned raving reviews for her performance of "MacArthur Park" by Richard Harris and Donna Summer.

"Amber, good Lord! What is going on?! Oh, it's just crazy. It's like summer has set in for you and it's here to stay! It's like the sun has come out and you're dominating tonight, baby," Keith said.

"If ya'll don't know who Amber is, ya'll should know tonight. She's in it to win it, that girl right there! You hitting those crystal-clear high notes at the top of your range just like you're drinking a glass of water is crazy! They're in tune, they're like piercing. You look amazing, you're current, you've got this whole Rihanna vibe jumping off. But dude, you've got these mad, crazy vocals too... You are so ready and so current and so now. I would sign her right now!" Randy explained.

"She could've been signed weeks ago!" Mariah added.

Based on the judges' evaluations and criticism, it seemed like Candice Glover placed third during last night's performance show and Kree Harrison came in last. Nicki actually panned both of Kree's performances.

In addition to singing two songs apiece, each female finalist also performed a duet with a fellow contestant. Amber and Kree sang together, while Candice and Angie took the stage together.
