American Idol fans are going to be able to supersize their votes this season.

Fox has announced American Idol's current twelfth season will introduce a new online voting method in which viewers can choose to "SuperVote" for their favorite contestants, therefore casting multiple votes at once, starting with Tuesday night's semifinals performance show.

Online voting has been utilized at the end of each performance show since 2011, but the new voting experience will allow fans to cast 50 votes at once.

In order to "SuperVote," fans will have the opportunity to allocate any number of their 50 total votes for one contestant or various contestants across all the online voting options -- americanidol.com, the show's mobile application and Facebook.

A fan's final set of votes will be submitted all at once when the voting window officially opens at the end of a night's performance episode, however in an interactive experience, viewers will be able to adjust their voting selections as the televised performances unfold.

Online voting will begin immediately following the first two-hour performance show tomorrow night at 8PM ET/PT on Fox. While American Idol is changing things up with its online voting, viewers can still vote the traditional way via toll-free phone lines and text-messaging as well. Phone lines remain open for at least two hours after each performance show.

Now that American Idol's 20 twelfth-season semifinalists have all been revealed, the show will air back-to-back live semifinals performance shows which will feature the 10 girls on Tuesday and the 10 guys on Wednesday, March 6. A live results show announcing the season's Top 10 finalists will then air on Thursday, March 7.

The five male and five female semifinalists who receive the most home viewer votes will automatically advance to Idol's twelfth-season finals. In a departure from last season, the judges will not have the opportunity to each select a "Wild Card" pick to join America's chosen Top 10.

Once the finalists are determined, American Idol's first twelfth-season performance show will then air on Wednesday, March 13 and feature the finalists singing for home viewer votes. One finalist will then be eliminated the following night during the season's first live elimination results show.
