CBS has officially announced the 16 decorated chefs who will be competing for $1 million when America's Culinary Cup premieres with a 90-minute episode on Wednesday, March 4 at 9:30PM ET/PT.

As previously announced, the premiere of America's Culinary Cup, which will also stream on Paramount+, will immediately follow a new episode of Survivor 50.

The 16 chef include six Michelin-starred chefs, two Bocuse d'Or medalists, two James Beard Award winners, 14 James Beard Award nominees, and recipients of numerous other top-tier culinary honors.

Receiving a Michelin star is an honor held by fewer than one percent of restaurants worldwide.

These standout chefs will battle through a season of signature challenges for the biggest cash prize in culinary television history -- $1 million.

Hosted and executive produced by former Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, America's Culinary Cup will feature acclaimed chefs Michael Cimarusti and Wylie Dufresne serving as judges.

The competition will challenge the 16 contestants to prepare a variety of dishes.

"The competition will test these elite chefs against the series' 10 culinary commandments -- meat, vegetables, sauces, dessert, innovation, flavors, sustainability, world cuisine, consistency, culinary science and technology," according to the network.

Each chef will be evaluated on taste, creativity, presentation and technique.

As the competition progresses, chefs will be eliminated until one person claims "America's Culinary Cup."

CBS announced it had ordered America's Culinary Cup in April 2025.

"We're inviting elite chefs from across the country to represent their unique culinary style and battle it out," Padma said in a statement at the time.

"This competition echoes the thrill of sports and the American spirit as we cheer on our favorite chefs. I'm very excited to work with CBS and partner with Susan on America's Culinary Cup."

Padma is also already the creator, host, and executive producer of the Hulu series Taste the Nation.
