The music artist opened up about the performances when he stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show Monday.

"It's kind of mind-boggling. It's the most state of the art venue in the entire world. You know, when they asked us to put together a show, it was the most surreal experience because there is a huge process that goes into putting this particular show up," he said.

He explained that the group was even lifted 75 feet in the air during the concert and incorporated a sample of the Jackson 5 song "Can You Feel It" into their opening song "Larger than Life."

The song was featured on the band's 1999 album Millennium.

The Backstreet Boys are also slated to release an expanded holiday album in November. They released the single "Hey" in February and Millennium 2.0 in July.

The band also includes Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough.

McLean also announced a solo album four years in the making.

"Finally, it's done," he told Hudson. "And I can officially say the EP will be out on Nov. 27."

The complete album will arrive Jan. 9.

"It's been an incredible journey kind of finding my way, you know, outside of Backstreet Boys, you know, this kind of journey of self discovery and really finding my true happiness," he said. "I just celebrate four years sober, so you know it's just where i am today... it shows in the music."
