Jersey Shore alum Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has opened up about a cervical cancer scare and how she's scheduled to have a big procedure.

"I'm scared and freaking out," Nicole, 38, admitted in a recent TikTok video, asking women to stay on top of their doctor appointments and make their health a priority.

"The pap smears -- I've been having issues with getting normal results and precancerous cells in [the] cervix. It's been very stressful guys. I've been dealing with this for about three or four years."

Nicole said after a recent pap smear brought back abnormal results, she had to undergo an "uncomfortable" and painful colposcopy and biopsy.

"They basically have to take a chunk out of your cervix. You're awake, by the way... That hurt. It wasn't a great experience," Nicole recalled.

After having her cells scraped and a "chunk" taken out, Nicole said she waited for about three days for the pathology to come back.

Once Nicole's doctor read the pathology report, he told Nicole that things were "not looking great."

Nicole revealed that doctors had found "cancerous cells on the top" of her cervix.

The next step, according to Nicole, is to have a cone biopsy while under general anesthesia at the hospital.

"It takes 10-15 minutes to snip it... They basically take a cone biopsy of your cervix... That will be sent [out] to see if there are any cancerous cells farther up," Nicole shared.

Nicole vented about how she waited too long to go to her appointments and her cone biopsy will be scheduled soon.

"I'm terrified," she confessed. "It's scary, but we have to get it done because cervical cancer is nothing to joke about. And I obviously do not want to get this."

Nicole then broke down into tears when thinking about her future.

"If this [cone] biopsy comes back not great, then the next step would be a hysterectomy," Nicole noted.

The mother of three continued, "Obviously I'm done having kids, but, as a woman, the thought of getting a hysterectomy is just sad and scary."

She added, But the thought of having a hysterectomy and then not being able to have kids, I think that's what's killing me. But whatever! Whatever to keep me healthy and safe to be here for my kids that I have now."

Nicole shares Lorenzo, Giovanna and Angelo with husband Jionni LaValle. The youngest, Angelo, was born in 2019.

Nicole said she's hoping to find a community of "mamas" with similar health issues so they can lean on each other going forward.

"Being a woman is not easy, and this is definitely a scary thing," Nicole acknowledged.

"I know I'm going to be fine; it's just scary to have to do all this stuff. I'm terrified, but everything will be fine. I have my parents, my family and Jionni to be there and make sure everything is okay."

Nicole added that she wanted to make this video to "spread awareness" and persuade women to get their pap smears on time.

"And if your doctor calls you before six months to do it again, do it," Nicole urged. "Make sure you're fine and prevent all the bad things that could happen, like cervical cancer."

Nicole said she's nervous about this procedure but she has to get it done.

"I'm being vulnerable right now... [Ladies] I love you, and stay on top of your sh-t," she concluded.

Snooki captioned her post, "Ladies we are in this together [praying-hands emoji] #colposcopy #conebiopsy #cervicalcancer."

Nicole starred on four seasons of Snooki & JWoww as well as six seasons of MTV's original Jersey Shore series, which premiered back in 2009.

Nicole also starred on three seasons of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

Nicole announced in December 2019 that she was retiring from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation and would not be participating in a fourth season of the spinoff.

However, Nicole made a cameo appearance on Season 4 and then returned as a full-time cast member for Season 5 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

She subsequently continued her role on the show through Season 8, which wrapped in September 2025.
