Zap2It.com reports that ABC has announced that their "tables are turned" edition of "The Bachelorette," starring runner-up single Trista Rehn from the original edition of "The Bachelor," will premiere Wednesday, January 8th, 2003.

"The Bachelorette" will last six episodes (shorter than the eight granted for the "Bachelor".) Whether the series can capture the same monster ratings of the male editions of the series in unknown, but ABC is reluctantly enthusiastic as to how it will do. "Quite honestly, we don't have the same expectations in terms of ratings, but I think it's impossible to have that kind of expectation," says ABC Chairman Lloyd Braun.
