"That feeling you get when cancel the I-184 (affidavit of support) #ticketcanceled and you finish your first complete design renovation," the 32-year-old real estate agent captioned a photo of himself jumping into the air in celebration.

After one person cheered Jonathan on by saying, "It's about time," Jonathan responded, "Couldn't do anything until now. The laws are different in every stat. It's not because I wasn't trying."

Jonathan's followers, however, have mixed feelings on Jonathan's attempt to separate himself from Fernanda completely.

One person wrote, "You shouldn't cancel it if you agreed to it to bring her here. Make grown up choices, deal with grown up consequences."

Jonathan later thanked a fan who countered with the following argument: "[He] wanted to create a life WITH her, not finance her dreams and lifestyle FOR her."

Jonathan also provided some insight into why he's trying to cancel Fernanda's green card.

"If it were two Americans," Jonathan wrote, "you wouldn't be responsible for 10 years post-divorce."

Jonathan confirmed his separation from Fernanda, 20, on Instagram in early January 2019, and then he disclosed to In Touch Weekly he hadn't spoken to his wife since December 22.

"She left and then quickly had a change of heart. I decided I didn't want someone who was so quick to give up on everything I worked so hard to provide. Plain and simple," Jonathan wrote of Fernanda in a since-deleted Instagram comment.

Jonathan added at the time, "Eventually she hated where we lived. I tried many time to give her everything she ever wanted but it wasn't enough... She said MANY things you can't take back that I won't mention... She wanted to apologize and asked me to forgive her. I haven't."

Meanwhile, Fernanda alleged Jonathan had stripped away her self-worth and she later called him a narcissist.

Jonathan insisted at the time, however, the couple had "real" feelings for each other and Fernanda is "not a gold digger," nor did she come to America "for a green card."

Since the couple's breakup, Fernanda has apparently been trying to become a model in Chicago, IL, and rebuild her life.

Fernanda, who starred on Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance with Jonathan, allegedly declined comment when contacted by In Touch.
