Haitian-born musician Wyclef Jean has been discharged from an undisclosed hospital, where he was treated for stress and fatigue, his brother Sam said.
"Clef was hospitalized yesterday but he is currently at home under the care of his physician. He has been ordered on bed rest for the next couple of days," the singer and activist's brother told E! News Monday.
Jean's illness comes shortly after he announced he no longer intends to fight to get his name on this fall's presidential ballot in Haiti.
The entertainer's representative, Marian Salzman, told E! News Jean was left exhausted after a "grueling eight weeks" during which he announced his plan to run for president of Haiti, was disqualified because he didn't meet residency requirements, then vowed to appeal the decision, and then ultimately chose not to pursue the matter further.
