Jennifer Lopez hopes to prove Miami kids are just as hip as their California counterparts when her new TV show challenges "The OC."

The new show, produced by Lopez, is tentatively called "South Beach" and has been picked up by the UPN cable network, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.
The network has reportedly ordered a drama pilot from Lopez's production company, TeenHollywood.com said. Lopez will executive produce the project, which revolves around a group of young aspiring professionals in Miami.
