Upcoming 'Survivor: Pearl Islands' castaway Jon Dalton has DUI past

By Reality TV World staff, 09/02/2003

Another week, another Smoking Gun story about reality TV contestant with an intoxication arrest in their past. Following on the heels of their report last week of "Real World Paris" Adam King's recent unusual arrest for "walking while intoxicated," the website has uncovered that upcoming "Survivor: Pearl Islands" contestant Jon Dalton was arrested last year for drunk driving.

According to The Smoking Gun, Dalton, age 29, was arrested last February by Los Angeles cops for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor. He entered a no contest plea on March 14, 2002 to the DUI count and a charge of driving without insurance. Dalton, who CBS claims recently worked as a "senior art consultant," was sentenced to two days in jail, fined $510, and placed on probation for three years.

When contacted by The Smoking Gun, CBS spokesperson Colleen Sullivan said the network was aware of Dalton's drunk driving case.
