A Peabody, Mass., woman says a security officer at the Las Vegas airport took a frosted cupcake from her because he felt the icing posed a security risk.

Rebecca Hains was at the McCarran International Airport returning home Wednesday when a Transport Security Administration agent told her the frosting on her cupcake was too similar to a gel that violates TSA restrictions, WFXT-TV, Boston, reported.

While TSA does not allow liquids or gels aboard flights, cupcakes, they say, are allowed.

"TSA is reviewing the circumstances of this situation. However, passengers are allowed to take cupcakes through the checkpoint," TSA said in a statement.

Hains said she passed through security at Logan International Airport in Boston days earlier with no problems.
