MTV has announced the upcoming fourth season of Teen Mom will be the last for the reality series starring Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood.
"Season 4 will be the final season of Teen Mom with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah," MTV told Us Weekly in a statement Friday. "They will continue to be a part of our MTV family, and we're thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention."
"From appearing in a series of teen pregnancy prevention PSAs to speaking at high schools around the country, these young women have become advocates for this issue."
MTV did not announce when Teen Mom's fourth season will premiere, but it is reportedly expected to air this coming summer.
According to a Beverly Hills modeling agency which Abraham recently signed with, she is currently "in talks with MTV producers" to star in a new Teen Mom spinoff which would follow the Iowa native as she moves to Los Angeles and takes the next step in her modeling career.
Teen Mompremiered on MTV in December 2009 after Abraham, Bookout, Lowell, and Portwood had their unexpected pregnancies chronicled on the first season of the network's 16 & Pregnant reality series.
Teen Mom 2 debuted in January 2011 and chronicles the lives of teen mothers Leah Messer, Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, and Chelsea Houska -- all of whom were featured on the second season of 16 & Pregnant.
MTV will premiere the fourth season of 16 & Pregnant on Tuesday, March 27 at 10PM ET/PT. While the network has not announced Teen Mom 3's cast yet, it will reportedly star four women who will be featured on 16 & Pregnant's fourth season.
