Directed by Mike Nichols and set to open on Broadway Feb. 7, the drama features a mostly male cast and more than a dozen new tunes written by Eric Idle and his longtime collaborator ,John du Prez. Among the new titles are "Run Away" and "I Am Not Dead Yet" -- based on recurring Python lines.

During the musical, King Arthur lets on that he wants to appear on Broadway, his manservant Patsy is Jewish and Sir Lancelot is gay, the Times of London reported Thursday.

The Shubert Theatre audience gave the Tuesday evening performance a standing ovation.
