The former American Idol third-season finalist and her fiance David Otunga are expecting their first child, Essence magazine reported Tuesday.
Rumors about Hudson being with child recently began to circulate when a picture from her current tour with Robin Thicke hinted at a "fuller figure," OK! Weeklyreported Wednesday.
While her manager and publicist both denied the rumors, "two sources close" to Hudson confirmed to Essence that the Oscar and Grammy winner is pregnant.
Hudson and Otunga -- a former I Love New York 2 contestant who made to the reality dating show's Final 3 before being cut by series star Tiffany Pollard -- have been dating for less than a year.
Otunga proposed to Hudson in September. Last month, Hudson announced that she and Otunga have set a date for their wedding but are chosing to keep it a secret.
