Mick Jagger's production company plans a series of hour-long celebrity shows for American cable television modeled on the 2001 documentary "Being Mick."

The series being developed with A&E Network is titled "Being," Hollywood Reporter says. Like the "Being Mick" documentary, each show will focus on a celebrity at work and at play.

The subjects will include public figures as well as actors, musicians and sports stars and the company says the aim is a cinema verite approach that will show stars' lives day-to-day instead of in a chronological biography.

"The viewer will really feel the intimacy and have access with them in their home, recording studio -- wherever they might be," Bob DeBitetto, an A&E programming vice president, told the Reporter. "It does require the talent allowing a level of access they are not used to."

Jagger is to be the executive producer while Victoria Pearman, the executive in charge of Jagged Films, is the producer.
