Married at First Sight star Chris Collette has claimed his wife Alyssa Ellman wouldn't even sit next to him on the plane when they were flying from Boston, MA, to their honeymoon in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Alyssa, 30, insisted she joined Married at First Sight's fourteenth season to enter a lasting marriage and give a relationship her best effort, but she determined only hours after her wedding ceremony that her groom, Chris, 35, wasn't her type and they weren't a good match for a number of alleged reasons.

Alyssa slept in a different hotel room from her husband on their wedding night, but she decided to still embark on the honeymoon phase of the experiment, seemingly with the intention of spending time with her new MAFS girlfriends while maintaining her distance from Chris.

During a February 9 appearance on Married at First Sight: Afterparty, Chris shocked the talk show's host Keshia Knight Pulliam with how Alyssa had allegedly treated him the day after their wedding.

"She already signed the paperwork [for our marriage license]... but she was talking to her lawyers [about how to get out of it]. She doesn't want to give me her phone number and she doesn't want to sit next to me on the plane," Chris claimed.

"[Alyssa] puts a producer between us so we don't have to sit next to each other."

Chris added for context, "Keep in mind we've spent a total of like 45 minutes to an hour together."

"This would be a four-hour flight where we could actually have a conversation with no cameras and no microphones and learn about each other," Chris explained.

Keshia admitted she was "speechless" upon hearing these allegations.

"That was a lot!" Keshia noted.

After tying the knot, Alyssa quickly came to the conclusion that Chris was "immature," and she had heard from his groomsmen how Chris is an opinionated man who can be a bit argumentative and "condescending," which essentially sent Alyssa into a tailspin of tears.

Alyssa told Chris that they're "not compatible" and have totally different hobbies and lifestyles, and so she appeared to avoid Chris for most of her honeymoon unless the pair did a light activity together such as paddleboarding or playing tennis.

"There wasn't really ever a time that it was just me and Alyssa because all of the time we spent together was doing an activity," Chris recalled on Afterparty.

Chris told Keshia there were a "couple of times" when he tried to talk to Alyssa one-on-one, like "when we were the first ones to [get to the] transportation [van] or we were in the airport and we were waiting in the security line and it's just us next to each other."

Chris said he was "trying to make conversation" with Alyssa in these private, off-camera moments, and he actually thought they went well, for the most part.

"I think that she's nicer during those periods," Chris conceded. "But I think it's because those are the periods when there's no pressure to talk about what the hell is going on in our relationship."

Married at First Sight star Katina Goode accused Alyssa of shutting down in her marriage simply because she wasn't physically attracted to Chris.

"My personal opinion, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, I think you're not physically attracted to him," Katina told Alyssa on the latest Season 14 episode.

"When I saw him, did I feel like that, like, physically wasn't what I would normally be attracted to? Yes," Alyssa admitted. "Did I feel like what I asked for from the experts was given to me? No."

"I would have rather them tell me, 'We don't have a match for you,' then match me with somebody who doesn't align with me."

Chris, however, said on Afterparty that Alyssa never told him that she wasn't attracted to him -- not even to this day.

But Alyssa apparently had a certain man in mind during the matchmaking process. Alyssa appeared to describe how she wanted a rugged man with a little country swag, and once she met Chris, she joked about how he looked like a real estate agent -- and not in a good way.

When Alyssa had a meltdown after her wedding behind closed doors, she vented to a producer, "Physically, I do not see one characteristic in him that I asked for."

Alyssa also told Chris during their honeymoon that her psychic had said her soul mate would have pretty eyes and a big animal tattoo.

And when Alyssa saw Chris with his shirt off for the first time on the beach in San Juan, she said in a confessional, "I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and so I am very careful about the words that I use, but I don't think Chris is my type physically and I think that's okay to say."

When Chris asked Alyssa if she'd consider moving in with him once they returned to Boston, she confessed how she wouldn't feel comfortable with that and her ideal scenario would be to share the apartment, but separately.

Alyssa envisioned Chris living in the apartment for two weeks and then passing it along to her for two weeks so she could still be a part of the experiment and spend time with her girls.

Alyssa even vented during the latest Married at First Sight Season 14 episode, "I do not want to talk to him! I hate him! He is a f-cking assh-le! He is disrespectful and rude, and he's doing me dirty!"

Alyssa was furious Chris had questioned her intentions for going on the show, and she complained, "I'm a good person and if I don't come off that way on this show, I'm going to be f-cking pissed!"

But Chris wasn't willing to give up on his marriage unless Alyssa flat out said she was 100 percent out and done with him.
