The Canadian-born pop star, 17, discussed the auction on Wednesday's edition of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
Bieber gave the hair to DeGeneres last month after he cut his trademark 'do and she posted it on eBay. The proceeds from the sale of his hair will go to the animal rescue organization The Gentle Barn Foundation, People.com said.
The winning bidder, who remains anonymous, will be invited to meet Bieber the next time he appears on "Ellen," the report said.
