Girls Day, Mamamoo and Suzy represented South Korea as Olympic torchbearers.
The K-pop stars were among the Korean celebrities to help kick off the Pyeongchang Olympics in South Korea, according to Billboard.
The Pyeongchang 2018 official Twitter account shared a video Thursday of Girls Day carrying the torch in Gangneung. The girl group was named an honorary ambassador for the 2018 Winter Olympics in July.
"#PyeongChang2018 Honory Ambassador and #Kpop girl group, #GirlsDay is making #Gangneung shine brightly along with the Olympic Torch!" the PyeongChang account wrote.
Girls Day also posted a photo on Twitter in their official Olympic outfits. The group said their role in the opening ceremony was a "meaningful" experience.
"#Let_Everyone_Shine," the singers wrote.
VIXX singers N and Leo, Super Junior members Donghae and Yesung and 2NE1 alum Sandara Park were among the other acts to serve as torchbearers. Retired Olympic figure skater Kim Yuna had the honor of lighting the torch.
