Fox Reality, America's only all-reality, all-the-time cable network, has announced that it secured new distribution deals with Comcast Cable and Time Warner Cable.

As a result of the new distribution agreements with the nation's top two cable system operators, Fox Reality will now be carried by seven of the America's 10 largest cable systems, as well as DirecTV and Verizon's new FiOS fiber optic television offering.

Fox Reality, which began broadcasting in May 2005, says the new deals will result in it becoming available in over 35 million American homes by the end of its second broadcast year -- a milestone previously reached by only the National Geographic Channel (another network launched by Fox Reality's Fox Cable Networks parent) and TNT and the NFL Network.

"We've now got a strong base to continue building up our original programming schedule and making more high-profile acquisitions," said Fox Realty Chief Operating Officer and General Manager David Lyle. "This is more than just a nice milestone, because it gives us a critical mass to boost Fox Reality into another league for its fans."

Fox Reality will premiere Rob & Amber: Against the Odds, a new original series that co-stars former Survivor: All Stars and The Amazing Race 7 lovebirds Rob and Amber Mariano, on Thursday, January 11 at 8PM ET/PT.  Beginning March 15, American Idol Extra, a companion "aftermath" show that airs the day after Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol live results shows, will return for its second season.  In May, Fox Reality will premiere The Academy, a new original series that will chronicle the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department's process of breaking down and building up raw recruits and turning them into ready-for-duty Deputy Sheriffs.

In addition to Fox Reality and the National Geographic Channel, Fox Cable Networks also includes eighteen regional Fox Sports Net sports networks, FX, Fox College Sports, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports en EspaƱol, Fox Movie Channel, SPEED, FUEL TV, National Geographic Channel HD, and the Big Ten Network, a new network that will launch in August.
