Former British 'Wife Swap' participant facing child cruelty charges

Lizzie Bardsley, a former contestant on the British TV series "Wife Swap," was summoned to British courtroom Friday to face charges of child cruelty.

Sky News reported that the mother of eight was to face 10 charges of child cruelty, with most stemming from incidents occurring between 1996 and 2005.

The 32-year-old reality TV star and her husband were labeled as "scroungers" when it was made public that they received nearly $69,000 a year in benefits while they were both unemployed.
