According to preliminary “fast affiliate-based” in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, “For Love or Money 2” scored a 4.5 rating, 12 share among adults 18-49 and attracted 9.7 million viewers overall. The previous highest “For Love 2” rating came a week earlier, when the hot relationship show grabbed a 4.4. In these provisional results, “For Love 2” defeated ABC’s NFL pre-season football, CBS’ rebroadcasts of “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “King of Queens” and Fox’s “Paradise Hotel.” For the summer-to-date, the only series rated higher than “For Love 2” in 18-49 are “For Love or Money 1” and CBS’ “CSI.”

From 10-11 PM ET, “Meet My Folks” and the closing minutes of “For Love 2” averaged a 4.1/11 among adults 18-49 and 8.5 million viewers overall, which currently puts NBC solidly #1 for the hour ahead of ABC’s football and CBS’ “CSI: Miami” rebroadcast. It’s the fifth week in a row NBC reality has out-rated CBS’ “CSI: Miami” encores in 18-49.

At 8 PM ET, “Fear Factor” (4.0/13 in 18-49, 9.5 million viewers overall) won the time period with its second-highest rating of the summer to date. From its first half-hour to its second, “Fear” grew by a powerful 25 percent in 18-49 rating.
