VH1's upcoming VH1 Divas concert event is beginning to double as an American Idol love-in.
"We are excited that Jennifer Hudson will share her award-winning talent with our VH1 Divas audience," said VH1 president Tom Calderone. "Adding Jennifer to our roster of young yet hugely successful performers guarantees that the show will truly be a night to remember. We can't wait for our viewers to enjoy the performances that will reflect the talent, hard work and tenacity that has come to define this new generation of divas." In addition to the aforementioned Idol stars, VH1 Divas will also include performances by Adele, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Cyndi Lauper and Martina McBride. Former The Hills stars Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List star Kathy Griffin will serve as presenters at the event, along with Toni Braxton, Ryan Kwanten and the cast of the upcoming film Fame -- which includes former So You Think You Can Dance finalist Kherington Payne. VH1 Divas will air live on Thursday, September 17 at 9PM ET/PT.
