There's been a bidding frenzy on the online auction site eBay for a car once owned by British soccer player David Beckham.

The soft-top BMW M3 Evolution, which Beckham bought in his first full season with the Manchester United in 1996, had received bids as of Monday night of about $38,000 -- almost double the value of a similar model with 78,000 miles, reported the Sun Tuesday.
The car, which comes complete with champagne stain, was valued at $81,000, when it was first purchased by Beckham.
