CBS has announced Greatest American Dog, an America's Next Top Model-like competition series for pageant pooches and their owners, will premiere Thursday, July 10 at 8PM ET/PT.

Each episode of the tentatively-titled series will follow a group of "pageant dogs" who will live together in a house with their respective owners.

They'll compete against each other in a series of challenges designed to measure each owners' ability to train their dogs, with the winning team ultimately taking home the show's $250,000 grand prize.

CBS ordered Greatest American Dog under the title America's Top Dog while the Writers Guild of America was still ongoing.

At the time, CBS also ordered Secret Talents of the Stars, which has since premiered and was canceled in the same week after only one poorly-rated broadcast.

Magic Molehill is producing Greatest American Dog, with R.J. Cutler, Stu Schreiberg and Stephen Kroopnick serving as executive producers.

Greatest American Dog is one of four reality shows that CBS plans to broadcast this summer.

In addition to Greatest American Dog, CBS will also premiere Million Dollar Password, a modern version of the 1960s-1970s game show that will be hosted by Regis Philbin, on Sunday, June 1 at 8PM ET/PT; Jingles, a Mark Burnett-created reality show that will see contestants concocting commercial ditties for real products, on Sunday, July 27 at 9PM ET/PT; and Big Brother's tenth season on Sunday, July 13 at 8PM ET/PT.
