Each episode of LA Ink will follow Von D -- a 25-year-old covered in tattoos who was featured in the first two season's of Miami Ink -- as she opens a rock 'n roll-themed tattoo shop in her hometown of Hollywood.

Von D has specialized in fine-line, black and gray style life-like portraits throughout her 11 years in the body-art business, and her artistry has not gone unnoticed, helping her to open her first parlor.  However she won't be going it alone, and will instead be accompanied by several people who she has both a personal and professional relationship with.

Von D's friend Pixie will work as the shop's manager, and Von D's mentor Corey Miller will serve his long list of celebrity clients at his pupil's new shop.  Rounding out the cast are renowned tattoo artists Kim Saigh and Hannah Aitchison, who along with Von D make-up three of the most respected women tattoo artists in the industry today.

LA Ink is produced by Original Media for TLC, with Pamela Deutsch serving as  executive producer for TLC and Charlie Corwin doing the same for Original Media.
