The Traitors Season 4 cast was apparently afraid of Taylor Swift fans, known as "Swifties," coming after them due to Donna Kelce's participation.

When the reality competition series returns to Peacock on Thursday, January 8, Taylor's future mother-in-law, Donna Kelce -- the mother of Taylor's fiancee and NFL player Travis Kelce -- will be one of the contestants.

The Traitors host Alan Cumming admitted during the January 7 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the new batch of players were worried that if they banished Donna, they might feel the wrath of Taylor's loyal fanbase.

"The contestants, the players, talk about it quite a lot," Alan, 60, revealed, according to Us Weekly.

"[They were like] 'I'm a bit worried about the Swifties. What they'll do if we [vote Donna out].'"

Alan said this unusual dynamic made the game "quite fun" for Season 4.

"It's another added layer of menace," Alan teased.

Several familiar faces from The Real Housewives franchise will also be participating.

Alan shared how Donna is "hilarious" and was "such a sweet lady" on the show.

"I really liked her," Alan noted of the Kelce matriarch.

"There's a really cute moment in the first episode when I sort of interviewed them. I said, 'How are you feeling, Donna?' and she went, 'A little weird.' It's so cute."

The Traitors' Season 4 cast includes The Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard Bassett, The Real Housewives of Dubai star Caroline Stanbury, The Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams.

Additional cast members with reality TV ties who will have to deal with backstabbing on The Traitors are The Bachelor's Season 23 star Colton Underwood and Laguna Beach star Stephen Colletti.

Caroline, 49, recently confirmed to Us that the entire cast was "so scared to go up against" Donna because it also may feel like a betrayal to Taylor's passionate fans.

"But no, she was lovely. So lovely," Caroline noted.

Travis, 36, and Jason, 38, also both recently commented on their mother's casting on The Traitors.

"We've seen the evil side of Donna. You guys haven't," Travis joked in June, according to Us. "There is no evil side. She's the sweetest."

And Jason added that he's really "looking forward" to seeing how his mother fared in the competition.

He quipped that he was "cautiously pessimistic" about Donna's performance.

One month later, Jason explained to Entertainment Tonight how he struggled to picture his mother being deceitful on the show because she's sweet and kind.

"I feel like in that show, you have to be manipulative and cunning, and you've got to be cutthroat," Jason said. "So I don't know, we'll see. I'm anxious to see how she did."

Jason's wife, Kylie Kelce, reportedly said on her "Not Gonna Lie" podcast this past summer how she's "excited" to watch the Peacock series.

"Have I watched Traitors? Not a whole season. Am I excited to watch Donna? A thousand percent. I'm [going to] cheer her on [until] the end of time," Kylie, 33, gushed.

She continued, "I am not going to lie, though, her innocence and honesty is working against her -- or for her? Ooh, if she's a Faithful, maybe it works for her. We're all on the edge of our seats. I'm excited. Come on, Donna! Win it!"

The Traitors' fourth season will debut with the first three episodes being released on January 8.
