The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos has revealed why she's not wedding planning, or even thinking about wedding planning, with Chock Chapple right now.

But according to Joan, she's not hearing wedding bells just yet.

"I am planning on marrying him. I don't know if it's this year," Joan told Parade in a recent interview.

"I mean, likely it is [this year, but] we are so busy. Busy that I had never expected... We get the opportunity to do so many things now."

Joan confirmed that planning a wedding "is just not on the schedule right now" for the couple.

"It just seems like it would be an overwhelming thing to add to all that we're already doing," Joan explained.

"And plus, we're just really enjoying doing this, getting to do all these things but also being at each other's homes, meeting each other's friends, getting to know each other's families."

However, Joan insisted that her relationship with Chock is solid and they're still going strong.

"I fall more and more in love with him every day," Joan gushed of her fiance.

"He has a great sense of humor. He's an easy person to be around. He's funny. My kids adore him. My grandson, [the] last time Chock was leaving, he said, 'I don't want that guy to go.' He requires nothing."

Joan added how Chock is "very kind." She said he "loves his friends" and "loves his family."

"And he makes sure you know he loves you," Joan shared.

When asked what she's learned about the insurance executive from Kansas since going public with their romance late last year, Joan quipped that he loves to nap.

"He's literally the easiest person to have around. He requires nothing. He is just go with the flow, he doesn't get mad about anything, he stresses about nothing, which is so weird to me because I'm a little type A and I stress about everything," Joan said.

"Like, I wake up in the middle of the night and go, 'Oh, my God, did I give my son the five dollars I borrowed from him?' Stupid stuff. I wake up in the middle of the night and I'm Venmo-ing him five dollars!"

But Chock, on the other hand, apparently has an attitude that "everything is fine" and "it all works out."

Joan elaborated, "I worry about my seat assignment for my next flight a month from now. He's like, 'You'll get a seat. Don't worry about it.' He's so easy about life. Nothing stresses him out, which is so good for me because I'm a stressed person."

Joan suggested that she and Chock are a perfect match.

"I've discovered that the things that are opposites for us are really complementary, work well for us," Joan noted. "He teases me constantly!”

Although Joan and Chock are not focused on wedding plans, Joan said they have been exercising, playing with her grandkids and traveling frequently.

"At the end of the day, I'm a little more achy. I'm not feeling like I did when I was younger, but I don't want that to stop me," Joan said.

"I feel like I have a really long future ahead of me and I don't want pain to limit what I'm doing... I love traveling now. I've always had a million places I want to see. I have a huge bucket list and I finally have a fiance that I get to do that with. I have a travel buddy."

Joan and Chock are also still hunting for an apartment in New York City, and they believe they'll have better luck in the spring with new inventory.

Joan and Chock both said in recent months they're eyeing a late 2025 or early 2026 wedding.

Joan recently threw shade at The Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist for tying the knot in January 2024, just a few months after their marriage proposal aired on ABC, and then filing for divorce in April 2024.

Joan said during the January 22 episode of the "Two Jersey Js" podcast, "I think that we all kind of maybe learned a lesson from Gerry and Theresa that maybe that was too quick and they probably don't want to make that mistake again."

"I certainly am not in any rush to get married. I am actually really happy right now, just not having anything to do," she added.

Chock, for his part, took to Instagram Stories on January 14 and pointed out how he and Joan are "asked all the time" about when they're going to exchange vows.

"Somebody today at lunch said, '[2025]?'" Chock recalled. "And I said, 'Maybe at the end of 25 or [2026].'"

Chock teased that he and Joan are "getting closer" to saying, "I do," but they're enjoying their engagement and "having a lot of fun together" in the meantime.

"We're just getting to know each other, and so this is time well spent," Chock noted.
