The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos has explained how her relationship with Chock Chapple remains solid when they aren't together all the time.

Joan admitted she and Chock, whose engagement aired on The Golden Bachelorette finale in November 2024, are "kind of in flux right now" but she's okay with that, Us Weekly reported.

"It doesn't really matter if we're not together every single night. We're still solid, we're good. We don't have to do that," Joan, 62, told the magazine, adding how the pair don't go more than 10-14 days without seeing each other.

"At that point we're like, 'Okay, this has been too long. We need to figure out how to get together.' So we're really very good about figuring our schedules out beforehand."

Although Joan and Chock just got engaged last summer, fans and the media are always asking them when they'll be getting married.

"I think right now, we certainly talk about the wedding and we're going to get married, but we're not like the young people. We don't have a biological clock. We're not trying to establish our lives someplace together," Joan explained.

But Joan confirmed that she has no doubts Chock is her guy and they'll be together forever.

"I certainly want to marry this man," Joan gushed.

"I mean, he is certainly the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. But the thought of planning a wedding right now sounds exhausting. And we have been so busy anyway, and I don't see an end any time really soon."

Joan also noted that she doesn't "necessarily want an end to this" wild ride she's been on since filming The Golden Bachelorette.

"This is such an experience and it's so rare for somebody our age to get these opportunities that I'm just going to keep doing this until they stop asking," Joan shared.

"So planning a wedding seems like it would halt things, maybe, and I'd have to concentrate on that, and I don't really want to do that yet."

Joan said she wants to "continue living this fun life right now" and "the wedding will come."

Joan assured fans, "It will happen, and it will happen when it's right and when I have time to plan it and I feel like planning it and I'm excited about it."

In the meantime, Joan said she's excited about the present day and "other things" she and Chock have coming up.

For instance, Joan confirmed that The Golden Bachelorette couple has several trips planned from now through Spring 2025.

Joan and Chock will be touching down in Philadelphia in a couple of weeks for Valentine's Day, and then they'll be "finally" enjoying a relaxing vacation for just the two of them -- and not for work -- in Cancun, Mexico later this month.

"He's come to Maryland, I've been to Wichita, we've kind of settled into how we are in each other's homes. But our more 'normal' is not being in each other's homes," Joan shared of the couple's life on the road or in the air.

"It's being someplace else in New York or L.A.," she continued. "We have a trip planned in the early fall to Paris. We will probably do another tropical vacation... We're just going from hotel to hotel!"

Joan acknowledged that while travel can "sometimes cause stress for people," it's "completely the opposite" for Chock and herself.

"We get energized by this, and I think he feel the same way that I do," Joan said.

"It's rare at this time in your life, at this age, that you get the opportunities that we've been given. You usually slow down and you're moving into a more sedentary or a less active part of your life."

But Joan noted how, once again, it's "the total opposite" for The Golden Bachelorette lovebirds.

"Our life has been completely shaken up... I am never home more than five days at a time now. I am always out. We have such great opportunities. We do appearances. We are on podcasts together, we're traveling," Joan explained.

"It's very, very different from what I expected. And when we travel together, it's for something really fun."

Joan and Chock both said in recent months they're eyeing a late 2025 or early 2026 wedding, but according to Joan's Us interview, wedding bells may not ring until much later.

Joan recently threw shade at The Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist for tying the knot in January 2024, just a few months after their marriage proposal aired on ABC, and then filing for divorce in April 2024.

Joan said during the January 22 episode of the "Two Jersey Js" podcast, "I think that we all kind of maybe learned a lesson from Gerry and Theresa that maybe that was too quick and they probably don't want to make that mistake again."

"I certainly am not in any rush to get married. I am actually really happy right now, just not having anything to do," she added.

Chock, for his part, took to Instagram Stories on January 14 and pointed out how he and Joan are "asked all the time" about when they're going to exchange vows.

"Somebody today at lunch said, '[2025]?'" Chock recalled. "And I said, 'Maybe at the end of 25 or [2026].'"

Chock teased that he and Joan are "getting closer" to saying, "I do," but they're enjoying their engagement and "having a lot of fun together" in the meantime.

"We're just getting to know each other, and so this is time well spent," Chock noted.
