The Bachelorette star Michelle Young has clapped back at Jamie Skaar for claiming she was in "spring-break mode" when dating her remaining bachelors in Week 2 of the process.

During Tuesday night's episode of The Bachelorette's eighteenth season, Jamie appeared frustrated and annoyed when Michelle overlooked him and decided to give her group-date rose to Brandon Jones instead. Jamie assumed he had the rose "in the bag."

Jamie then pulled a producer aside and complained, "I think the problem with Michelle right now is that she's basically in f-cking spring-break mode."

"It's a little bit of a turnoff. If you genuinely thought your husband was in the room, do you go spring-break mode?" added the 32-year-old biotech CEO from San Diego, CA.

"I'm not going to judge it, but it doesn't mean I can't make fun of it! I gotta wait for five weeks to get to the end of this? I really thought it'd be a stronger group of guys."

While watching the episode unfold on ABC, Michelle, 28, took to Twitter and gave Jamie a piece of her mind.

"What can I say...teachers truly do love Spring Break," the fifth grade teacher tweeted, before adding to her post, "No more grading papers," "nap time" and "I can pee when I want to."

Jamie believed he was on a totally different level from the other men. He said none of the suitors were in "the same league" and no one else was "worthy" of Michelle's attention.

Jamie, who bragged about how Michelle was "captivated" by him, scoffed at producers' "nationwide search" for the best bachelors to date Michelle.

But Michelle ended up eliminating Jamie -- whom the other men called "a rat" and "a snake" -- by the end of the episode.

Jamie had created a mistrust between Michelle and the rest of the guys in the house by informing Michelle that speculation had been swirling in regards to whether she and frontrunner Joe Coleman dated or knew each other before The Bachelorette began filming.

Jamie claimed he didn't personally care but the speculation had taken on "a life of its own" -- and that even viewers would probably be concerned about Michelle's past, which made Michelle feel like some of the men had been questioning her character and integrity.

During a cocktail party preceding The Bachelorette's third Rose Ceremony, Nayte Olukoya said Jamie had totally made up a story and presented his own insecurities as insecurities other men had.

The bachelors were angry about Jamie not holding himself accountable, and Casey Woods called Jamie "conniving" and "manipulative."

An emotionally-exhausted Michelle -- who only exchanged a few messages with Joe on social media prior to the show -- then approached Jamie, who attempted to backtrack and explain that no specific individual had challenged Joe or Michelle's character.

"It was the open speculation in the house of people talking about the potential of you knowing each other that essentially created its own monster and that had the potential to challenge both of your characters long-term," Jamie announced in front of everyone.

Michelle, however, recalled how Jamie had brought up how one of his friends allegedly spotted her in Minnesota walking with "a tall, light-skinned dude," which fueled the rumor she and Joe had a pre-existing relationship.

Michelle said Jamie supposedly trying to be preventative and proactive by sharing such a story essentially backfired and made a non-issue an issue.

Michelle then asked to speak with Jamie outside, and she accused him of telling her something that was inaccurate and created unnecessary drama around her character.

"You brought up that second story. You put that out there, Jamie, you did! That's not protecting me whatsoever," Michelle told the bachelor.

"I'm very hurt by you right now. I don't trust you at this moment, and I have to be done with it. So I think it's best if I walk you out tonight."
