The Bachelorette bachelor Jacob "Jake" Rapini has revealed what he really would've done if Gabby Windey happened to be the only Bachelorette on this season.

During a giant group date that preceded the third Rose Ceremony of the season, Jacob admitted to Gabby that he really liked Rachel Recchia and wanted to pursue a relationship with only the flight instructor going forward.

When Jacob broke up with Gabby, he said, "I think we can joke around and be funny and cause a ton of laughter. But I don't know if maybe we've had the connection that I think I wanted to have with you from the get-go. Even if, say, you were the only person here, I don't think I could have the heart to continue."

The Bachelorette alums Bryan Abasolo and Mike Johnson therefore asked Jacob if he really would've quit the show had Gabby been the only The Bachelorette star of Season 19.

"That's tough, f-ck, yeah. I mean, I said it so," Jacob began on a recent episode of the "Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation" podcast.

When it seemed like Jacob was going to stand his ground and claim he would've gone home, Bryan called him out.

"I'm not going to lie, man, I think I call bluff on that. I think that you probably would've stayed... and really flushed out that relationship. Would you have left, like you said?" Bryan asked.

"If she's the only Bachelorette, look, I'm going to try to see if there is a connection there. But if there's not, then I have no reason staying with it, and I would've told her the same way," Jacob insisted.

Jacob continued, "If you're not my 'forever person,' why would I keep leading you on like that? No, I would've definitely left. But I would've wanted to have taken some time to actually get to know her and see if there was [something there]."

Jacob clarified he "probably would have pulled myself from the competition," if Gabby was the only Bachelorette and their relationship was the same as it was in that moment he dumped her on the show.

"And I'm honest and truthful with that," he said, "because of the fact that I'm not trying to lead anybody on here."

Jacob explained how there wasn't a ton of time in which he could've gotten to know Gabby better.

"But look, I took back what I said in a lot of ways... Watching myself say this [on the show], I'm like, 'Damn, that's so rude!' And then this girl right next to me, she kicks me really hard in the leg," Jacob revealed.

"She was like, 'Why did you say that?!' And I'm like, 'I know, why did I say that?!'"

Jacob told Bryan and Mike how he "really" and "truly wanted to get to know" both girls but he didn't have the opportunity to do so.

"I just didn't have the time," noted the 27-year-old mortgage broker from Scottsdale, AZ.

Jacob therefore went into the unprecedented third Rose Ceremony hoping to receive a rose from Rachel, but she chose to send him packing.

Rachel and Gabby ultimately eliminated Jacob, James "Meatball" Clark, Termayne Harper, and Alec Garza.

Ironically, Jacob had brutally dumped Gabby at the afterparty, and Alec, Meatball, and Termayne had all rejected roses from Rachel and humiliated her at the Rose Ceremony. It almost seemed like Gabby and Rachel intentionally decided to eliminate the men who had been causing trouble.

Both women had been feeling insecure about whether they deserved to be the Bachelorette, and Gabby and Rachel each wanted to move forward with men who only had eyes for her.

"I wasn't surprised with how things [turned out]," Jacob revealed, "because once I told Gabby [I didn't want to date her], I was in Sofi Stadium and couldn't find Rachel. I was trying to find her for the rest of the night, and so I didn't even get a chance to speak with Rachel."

Jacob claimed "a good few days" had passed since he was last able to speak to Rachel.

"So my last conversation with Gabby, we're basically ending that relationship and then I didn't have a lot of connection with Rachel, like the other guys did," Jacob said.

"So I'm going into the Rose Ceremony, like, "Damn, I may have just messed up my entire opportunity here.'"

Jacob admitted he was "very nervous" going into the Rose Ceremony and had a feeling that "this might be the end" for him on The Bachelorette.

"It happened, and it's probably mostly my fault," Jacob concluded.

While Hayden Markowitz has also been subjected to backlash for telling Gabby that she's "rough around the edges" while dumping her, The Bachelorette alums Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young were more appalled by Jacob's breakup conversation with the ICU nurse.

"When Jacob goes, 'I'm more into Rachel and if it was just you here, I'd probably send myself home -- but you're smoking hot,' go kick dirt, Jacob! Like that is going to make Gabby feel better?!" Becca vented on the latest episode of her "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.

Becca added, "That's not going to make any woman in that situation feel remotely better. Stop talking while you're ahead... Comment on her personality or how charismatic she is, or anything other than, 'You look great on the outside!'"

Michelle found the interaction equally upsetting and said on the podcast, "It just makes no sense... This is the man that rode in on a horse [as a] knight [on Night 1], and that's what you end with?!"

Michelle laughed and continued, "If we're going off The Notebook and all of these romantic novels, that's not a part of it -- ever. Period... [Some men] feel like [being called hot] is what we want to hear, and that's not what we want to hear."

Gabby was rejected three times, seemingly in a row, at the afterparty on Monday night's The Bachelorette episode, and then Rachel was rejected by three men when they decided not to accept her roses at the Rose Ceremony.

It was a tough week for the two The Bachelorette stars, but they ended up taking the power back and will have their own group of guys to date going forward.

Gabby now has nine bachelors left in the running for her heart while Rachel has eight men on The Bachelorette.

Meatball asked Rachel for a second chance, but her answer has yet to be revealed on the show.
