The Bachelor will reportedly air two consecutive new seasons on ABC early next year, similarly to how the network has aired two The Bachelorette seasons starring Katie Thurston and Michelle Young this year.

While not yet officially announced by ABC, Clayton Echard, a 28-year-old orthopedic sales representative and former college football player from Missouri who is currently still appearing on Michelle's The Bachelorette season, will be starring on The Bachelor's 26th season when it premieres with a two-hour episode on Monday, January 3 at 8PM ET/PT.

Clayton's season is currently in its last few weeks of filming, and his cast of 33 potential bachelorettes was announced by ABC in late September.

However, Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone recently announced Clayton's season won't be the only edition of The Bachelor fans will be able to watch next year on ABC!

After Clayton's season airs, "There is a change coming," Carbone wrote in an October 27 blog post.

"The next season of the show to air after Clayton's will NOT be a 'Bachelorette' season. It will be another 'Bachelor' season."

Carbone reported ABC is four months away from beginning production of The Bachelor's 27th season and he is not sure who the leading man will be.

"Normally 'Bachelorette' would start filming the week of Clayton's finale [airing on ABC in March], but that is now changing -- at least for 2022," Carbone explained.

While Clayton's The Bachelor season airs in its regular timeslot from January through mid-March 2022, Carbone reported that Season 27 of The Bachelor will begin filming by the end of February 2022.

"Knowing that filming is end of February through mid/late April, [Season 27] will probably air come May in replace of when the 'Bachelorette' usually would," Carbone wrote.

The spoiler blogger elaborated, "All I know for 100% fact is after Clayton's season will be another 'Bachelor' season. They are currently casting women for it now, and it starts filming around the 3rd week of February."

Carbone initially heard rumors about women preparing to film a The Bachelor season in February 2022 about a week before her announced he had confirmed the news on Twitter on October 26.

A star has yet to be announced for the new season.

Carbone said The Bachelor star for Season 27 has yet to be determined and will probably be a last-minute decision made by the network.

As for the fate of The Bachelorette's upcoming 19th season, Carbone reported, "I believe the 'Bachelorette' will shoot on the same schedule it has the last 2 summers."

The last three stars of The Bachelorette were Clare Crawley, Tayshia Adams and Michelle.

"[The Bachelorette Season 19 will probably] shoot in mid/late July through end Aug/beginning of September, and air October thru December," Carbone wrote.

Carbone has been hearing that ABC may adopt this approach and make this the "new norm" going forward -- two The Bachelor seasons and one The Bachelorette edition per calendar year.

Bachelor Nation will probably also expect a Bachelor in Paradise season every summer, and Carbone admitted he's unsure of how ABC is handling that situation.

In the meantime, The Bachelorette's 18th season starring Michelle is currently airing Tuesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on ABC. She is entering Week 3 of the process and continues to make big cuts.

And Clayton was just spotted earlier this week filming the women's hometown dates on The Bachelor. Clayton has therefore already selected his Final 4 bachelorettes and is narrowing in on the end of his journey to find love.
