The Bachelor star Matt James is trading in his roses for dancing shoes, as he'll reportedly be competing on Dancing with the Stars' upcoming season.

Matt, who starred on The Bachelor's 25th season earlier this year, has signed on to be a celebrity contestant on Dancing with the Stars' 30th season this fall, Us Weekly reported.

Fans can therefore expect to see Matt's The Bachelor winner and current girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell sitting in the audience and cheering him when the next season premieres Monday, September 20 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Matt will be following in the footsteps of many The Bachelor stars before him who tested out their dance skills in the ballroom: Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, Chris Soules, Nick Viall and current Bachelor in Paradise bachelor Joe Amabile.

Many former The Bachelorette stars have also graced Dancing with the Stars with their presence: Trista Sutter, Melissa Rycroft, Hannah Brown and Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Both Hannah and Kaitlyn won their respective Dancing with the Stars seasons with pro partners Alan Bersten for Season 28 and Artem Chigvintsev for Season 29, respectively.

Melissa also won Dancing with the Stars' fifteenth edition, an All-Stars season, in 2012.

However, a Bachelor has never won the mirrorball trophy. The closest a Bachelor has ever come to winning was Chris Soules placing fifth on Season 20.

Kaitlyn actually said in January after Matt's The Bachelor season premiered that she'd love to see him on Dancing with the Stars.

"He's so tall, I feel like he could flip the girls around. I think he'd be very entertaining," Kaitlyn said on the "Hello Friends" podcast with Big Brother alum Nicole Anthony and Eric Curto.

Kaitlyn added at the time, "I actually would want to see a Bachelor win."

Since a Bachelor has never won the show before, Kaitlyn explained, "The whole argument of Bachelor Nation being really loyal and always voting for their Bachelors and Bachelorettes doesn't stand true."

Kaitlyn elaborated, "[Pro dancer] Cheryl Burke, who is actually one of my closest friends out of it, was like, 'Well, we can't have another Bachelorette on because they'll just win because of Bachelor Nation.' And I'm like well, 'Chris Soules didn't win, Nick Viall didn't win, Sean Lowe didn't win.' They're all Bachelor people."

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore will also reportedly be participating in Dancing with the Stars' upcoming season. TMZ was first to report the news and then Us claims they confirmed it.

The Bachelorette couple Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes are also rumored to possibly be competing on Season 30, as they recently hinted one or both of them may be doing the show this fall.

Only two celebrity cast members have been confirmed for Dancing with the Stars' next season so far: Dance Moms alum JoJo Siwa and gymnast Sunisa "Suni" Lee.

JoJo will make Dancing with the Stars history when she becomes the first person on the series to dance with a same-sex partner. JoJo's female dance partner has yet to be announced.

The remaining 13 celebrities who will be competing on Dancing with the Stars' 30th season will be announced on Good Morning America on Wednesday, September 8.

The pro dancers for Season 30 are also expected to be announced that same day on GMA.

When Dancing with the Stars returns to ABC, former America's Next Top Model and America's Got Talent host Tyra Banks will reprise her role as solo host of the show following Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews' departures last year ahead of Season 29.

The ballroom will also welcome back returning judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.
