Temptation Island star Kaci Campbell had her heart ripped out on national television by her longtime boyfriend Evan Smith, and now she's recalling how things shook out once she returned home from filming, claiming that Evan had a brief change of heart.

As viewers saw on Tuesday night's finale of USA Network's revival of Temptation Island, Evan, 28, chose to dump Kaci after a 10-year relationship in order to further pursue a relationship with one of the singles whom he had fallen in love with on the island: Morgan Lolar, a 27-year-old real estate agent from Washington, D.C.

Kaci, 29, admitted to Us Weekly in a podcast interview that Evan's decision and the lack of hesitation behind it "blew my mind," adding that it "humiliated and blindsided me."

The end of the finale showed recent footage of Evan and Kaci enjoying their lives six months after filming wrapped.

While Kaci is doing her best to move on, Evan is now engaged to be married to Morgan.

But according to Kaci, Evan's heart wasn't sold on Morgan once cameras stopped rolling and he actually begged her to reconcile.

After Temptation Island wrapped filming in early October 2018, Kaci flew back home alone to Los Angeles, CA, where she lived with Evan.

"I flew back from Maui and [Evan] stayed in Maui a few extra days with Morgan. He flew back to L.A. on my birthday, brought Morgan to downtown L.A. He stayed in a hotel like a mile away from our apartment while I was at our apartment with his dog and his little brother," Kaci told Us.

"The whole time he's in downtown L.A. on my birthday, he was texting me nonstop, telling me he didn't know what he did -- begging to see me. He was saying he lost his best friend and partner and [more]. His brother had to get in the middle of it, and finally, I had Evan come over."

Kaci said the face-to-face meeting was emotional and raw. She alleged that Evan had come to regret his final choice on Temptation Island.

"We talked for like a whole day and he basically was really second guessing himself. He was telling me there's hope for me and him to figure this out and work things out... He couldn't stop crying," Kaci shared.

Evan allegedly admitted to taking his feelings for Morgan "too far."

Kaci also accused Evan of suggesting the following: "Maybe we can live separately for a while and we can really get this whole thing back to a healthy place, you and me."

Kaci did not reveal how she had responded to Evan, but said she was led to believe they were getting back together and he was going to break up with Morgan.

"I was under the impression things were going to be ending [between them]," Kaci noted.

Evan then apparently took off for Virginia to meet back up with Morgan, who had already flown back home the day earlier. Although Kaci did not explain the reason for Evan's trip, she suggested she believed Evan was going to break up with Morgan in person.

A few days into his trip, Kaci recalled, "He sent me a text at like 6PM my time, 'Thinking of you,' with heart emojis and all of this cute stuff."

Kaci said this happened on October 16, but then Evan quickly turned around and dumped her all over again via text.

"Then, three hours later, he sends me this novel text message, saying, 'Morgan is my life. She's the love of my life. I don't know why I've been texting you,' just insane stuff," Kaci told Us.

"I was actually with my best friend at the time in an In-N-Out Burger drive-thru when I got the text."

Kaci admitted she and her friend just started laughing over the insanity of it all, claiming Evan's messages "didn't even make sense."

"At that point, I can't even explain what happened. It was literally like a light switch [turned] off," Kaci explained.

"It went from [me] still having feelings for him and still [being] devastated to, literally, 'I feel nothing for the guy.' It was just the emotional and psychological nonsense he's put me through over the last 10 years, I wasn't blind to it anymore... I can't have this toxic energy in my life."

Kaci apparently determined in that moment Evan should no longer be a part of her life.

Meanwhile, Kaci said Evan decided to stay in Virginia for about three weeks.

"He wasn't telling anyone when he was coming back or what his plans were. He left all of his crap -- and his dog -- in my apartment," Kaci recalled.

"I want to say three weeks later, [he] came home while I was out. He took, like, one suitcase of things and his dog and then left everything else... I literally just put it all in trash bags and gave it to Goodwill and threw the rest out and never looked back. I threw all that sh-t away but his brother came and picked up his guitar."

Kaci accused Evan of reaching out to her "in every way, shape and form" since then.

"He reached out to my friends," Kaci told Us.

"It finally got to the point where I was ignoring him for so long, he started texting me on New Year's Eve and I sent him one vicious, vicious text message that really laid it out -- how I feel about everything, how I feel about him and how there is zero hope for him to ever be in my life -- and I haven't heard from him since. And thank God for that."

Kaci reiterated how Evan sent her one text on New Year's Eve and then she "ripped him apart."

Kaci confirmed the last time she saw Evan was on October 10 and the last time she had a civil or indepth conversation with him was on October 16.

Kaci made similar allegations about the fallout of her relationship with Evan once they returned home -- including how she blocked his phone number and social-media accounts -- in a separate interview with People.

Evan issued People the following statement in which he appeared to deny Kaci's allegations that he changed his mind and wanted to reconcile: "Kaci and I did talk after wrapping the show in October about our experiences and how hard both our journeys were. I never had a doubt about Morgan or thought I made a mistake."
