Already certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest athlete, Manny Yarbrough -- who goes by the name Tiny -- embarked on his weight loss journey in New York Tuesday at a Times Square weigh-in.

It was also the launch of a television reality show, "Get Tiny," which will chronicle the 40-year-old's shrinkage in a bid to be part of the 2008 Olympics.

Eric Nies, a fitness video star and reality TV veteran best-known as a cast member on MTV's "Real World: New York," will help Yarbrough, the New York Daily News said.

Nies is confident Yarbrough can lose two or three people worth of pounds in record time, and said his charge will spend the show's first three months training at a secluded California ranch.

"He's going to be eating a very clean organic, natural diet," Nies said. "He realistically could lose a pound a day."
