So You Think You Can Dance's injury curse may have managed to strike for a fourth week in a row.

Although last night's So You Think You Can Dance performance show began with host Cat Deeley gushing that none of the competition's remaining dancers were injured for the first time in nearly a month, it ended with her announcing that Lauren Froderman -- the season's last female finalist -- was suddenly being treated by the show's medics.

"Now, just as the judges were saying before there's been no injuries [this week], Lauren is in fact now with the medics," Deeley said after Froderman, an 18-year-old contemporary jazz dancer from Phoenix, AZ, failed to join the rest of the season's Top 6 finalists on stage for the broadcast's closing moments.

"So we're going to wait and see what happens.  We will give you all the results tomorrow.  But fingers crossed for Lauren."

So You Think You Can Dance judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe declined to reveal the cause of Froderman's medical treatment on Thursday but stated it won't prevent her from "dancing for her life" on tonight's result show if she ends up in the bottom threesome based on the results of the home viewer voting that followed Wednesday's performance show.

"Sorry I can't tell you what the problem was with Lauren until I speak with her and her Doctor later today. I just don't know at this point," he wrote on Twitter late Thursday morning.

"I am happy to say Lauren will be in the studio later today. She won't be in the opening number and won't dance unless she's in the bottom 3."

However Alex Wong -- the eliminated seventh-season dancer who began So You Think You Can Dance's injury streak when he suffered a lacerated Achilles tendon and watched last night's show from the audience -- believes she was simply dehydrated.

"I think Lauren will be fine to compete next week. She was dehydrated and very dizzy. She went to the hospital for some tests," he wrote on Twitter early Thursday morning.
