Clay Aiken will reportedly be returning to reality television this spring -- however it won't be on the show that made him a household name.

The American Idol second-season runner-up will serves as a guest judge for an America's Next Top Model twelfth-season episode scheduled to air in April, Entertainment Weekly reported Wednesday.

In addition, Aiken will also "participate in an acting challenge" during the episode, according to EW.

While it may seem odd that Aiken would be participating in an acting challenge and not one centered on singing, the former Idol finalist does have theatrical experience.

He originally played the role of Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot at the Shubert Theatre early last year before taking a break from the production to promote his fourth album "On My Way Here," which was released in May

He subsequently reprised his role in the fall and continued in it until last month.

America's Next Top Model's twelfth season will premiere Wednesday, February 25 at 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
