Ready for Love bachelor Tim Lopez narrowed his search for love down to eight bachelorettes during Tuesday night's premiere episode of the new NBC reality dating series.

Ready for Love's debut broadcast began with the show's three matchmakers Amber Kelleher-Andrews, Tracy McMillan and Matt Hussey each selecting four women they're mentoring for Tim, a Plain White T's band member from Santa Barbara, CA, to try to get to know without seeing what they look like or meeting them face to face.

After hearing each group of four girls describe themselves one by one and talk about why they could be a potential match for him, Tim had to eliminate one woman from each matchmaker's pool of bachelorettes.

Amber picked Hailey Clark, a 31-year-old who currently resides in Indialantic, FL; Lisa Conlon, a 32-year-old who currently resides in Vernon, CT; Siham Bengoua, a 25-year-old who currently resides in Philadelphia, PA; and Sara Lavagnino, a 30-year-old who currently resides in Franklin, TN, to introduce themselves to Tim.

Tim chose to move forward with Sara, Hailey and Siham.

Matt selected Taonaya Fleury, a 31-year-old who currently resides in Miramar, FL; Danielle Duff, a 27-year-old who currently resides in Tucson, AZ; Alexis Rodriguez, a 23-year-old who currently resides in Scottsdale, AZ; and Leah Trogan, a 27-year-old who currently resides in Austin, TX -- whom had already been friends with Tim for about six years and seemingly had a little romantic history with him.

Tim opted to advance Leah, Danielle and Taonaya.

Tracy set Tim up with Sarah Moore, a 28-year-old who currently resides in Charlotte, NC; Christina Rigaud, a 25-year-old who currently resides in New Orleans, LA; Jenna Reeves, a 23-year-old who currently resides in Austin, TX; and Lana Sears, a 26-year-old who currently resides in Kansas City, MO.

Tim decided to keep Sarah, Christina and Jenna.

At this point in the episode, Tim had narrowed his 12 bachelorettes down to nine, ultimately letting go Lisa, Alexis and Lana. Tim then went on a group date with all of the remaining women. They received a private show from the Plain White T's band and worked on a song's lyrics together.

After the group date, Tim and his bachelorettes returned to the live studio where each matchmaker had to nominate one girl on his or her team for elimination. It was then up to Tim to determine which of the bottom-three women he wanted to send home.

Tracy nominated Sarah, Matt put Leah on the chopping block and Amber picked out Hailey from the bunch.

Tim first chose to save Hailey. Tim's decision then came down to ousting either Sarah or Leah, and he chose to send Leah home.

"I have been falling in love with Tim for, you know, six years. I came here to get an answer and I got my answer. We will find love, but I don't know if I will ever find someone as great as him. It definitely hurts," Leah said following her ouster.
