Project Runway: Under the Gunn declared Oscar Lopez, a 40-year-old from Coral Gables, FL, its first-season champion following a fashion show at the Los Angeles Theater during Thursday night's finale broadcast on Lifetime.

Oscar impressed the show's panel of regular judges -- Designer Rachel Roy, celebrity stylist Jen Rade, and Marie Claire magazine's senior fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi -- in addition to the final episode's special guest judges Heidi Klum and actor Neil Patrick Harris.

Oscar defeated fellow designers Asha Daniels, a 25-year-old from Cincinnati, OH; Sam Donovan, a 23-year-old from Ashland, MA; and Shan Keith, a 33-year-old from St. Louis, MO, for the victory.

As the winner of Project Runway: Under the Gunn, Oscar will receive a cash prize of $100,000; a sewing and embroidery studio; an all-expense paid trip to Paris; Blowpro hair styling products; a fashion spread in Marie Claire; a 2014 Lexus vehicle; the opportunity to design a collection sold exclusively at Francesca's; and the chance to work with the Benefit Cosmetics' creative team to design a new uniform for their field.

On Monday, April 14, Benefit Cosmetics will host a national press event at their Soho boutique in New York to unveil Oscar's new design to top beauty and fashion editors.

Oscar was mentored by Nick Verreos. Because Nick beat out fellow mentors -- and Project Runway alumni -- Anya Ayoung-Chee and Mondo Guerra, he will also walk away with a 2014 Lexus vehicle, a fashion spread in Marie Claire, and a guest editor position for the magazine for one year.
