Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was taken off the roads of Italy after she reportedly hit a police car on Monday.

The Jersey Shore star lost her international driver's license after she hit an Italian police car while driving a Fiat Multipla with co-star Deena Cortese sitting in the passenger seat, Us Weekly reported Tuesday. Alcohol was not a factor, however the accident two Italian police officers hospitalized with minor injuries.

However, according to Us, the 23-year-old reality TV star may still end up in court, as under Italian law, the officers -- one male and one female -- have up to 90 days to decide whether to file civil action lawsuit over the accident, which left them with whiplash, cuts and bruises.

Polizzi's license was revoked since she injured other drivers on the road, but the chances of her facing a criminal prosecution are reportedly slim.

"It was nothing serious and they have been released, but they will not be back at work for a week," a Florence official told Us

In addition to Cortese, a Jersey Shore production staffer was also in the Fiat when Polizzi crashed into the officers' car, leaving her vehicle wedged between a highway protection wall and the police car, People reported Monday.

Ironically, the injured officers who were reportedly hired as escorts for the cast members' safety. 

According to authorities, Polizzi and Cortese weren't arrested but were taken to the Florence central police station to file routine paperwork, People reported.

The Jersey Shore cast has been filming the fourth edition of the MTV reality series in Italy. Since they had arrived about three weeks ago, the cast has already racked up over 300 Euros in fines for multiple traffic violations, according to Us.
