Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has gotten off pretty easy following his arrest for assault last month.

The Sorrentinos and former Jersey Shore star reached a plea deal in court on Monday to spend 12 weeks in anger management classes after getting into a physical altercation with his brother in June at his Boca Tanning Salon, in Middletown, NJ, TMZ reported.

According to authorities, police had been called to the salon after a reported "fist fight" broke out between Sorrentino and his brother Frank, who were disagreeing over how they should run their family business. Sorrentino had been the only person arrested at the time, and he subsequently posted $500 bail.

If Sorrentino -- who had also appeared on Dancing with the Stars' eleventh season -- finishes the program and meets the judge's requirements, the assault charge will be reduced to a petty crime, according to TMZ.

The reality TV star reportedly admitted he probably needs anger management although he's definitely not thrilled about the punishment.

Sorrentino's attorney Edward Fradkin allegedly confirmed the counseling will be conducted in a one-on-one environment.

TVGN announced in late March it had picked up The Sorrentinos, which premiered on July 15.
